Dolly left us today. It’s only temporary. She’s spending the next two weeks at my parents house. I’m not really anxious about this (as the title of the post might imply) because I know that they love her and she will probably enjoy living with them more than she likes living with us. But I am a little bit sad. We came home this evening and I expected to hear the jingle jingle of her collar that always greets us when we walk in the door. But it was just quiet. My parents will deposit her back at our house before they come greet us at the airport upon our return from Ethiopia. And then the fun will really begin. How will the D-dog and the Z-dog get along, I wonder?

We won’t be going to Hope’s House. If we had more time in Addis we would certainly volunteer to make a visit. Hope you get to pick her up soon!
D is such a sweet girl, she will learn to love Z!
I remember when we left our dogs at my parents house when we adopted Jade. It was hard to do. They sleep with us so it does feel weird not to have them when we go out of town. I’m so excited at how close you are to your baby girl coming home!!!!!
Precious picture. those eyes!!! I’d be nervous too. can’t believe you’re almost on your way!!!!!
Yes, we felt sad about leaving Bob Laurence for two weeks too.
You are leaving Soooon….Wowowowow! Plus I love all those beautiful threads for Baby Z. Girls clothing is so colorful and fun (I have to admit a bit more fun than boy clothing).
Aw, puppy. We will be so sad to leave Olive for so long. Luckily my brother in law will stay at our house while we’re away to care for Olive and our plants. I’m most nervous about introducing Shea Tsedeke to Olive. Omg, so nervous. Olive is, well, a terrier. So we will be fitting her with a cute little Italian basket muzzle. Which might be extra scary to the little tike. Oh well. It will work out. I grew up with 3 westies.
