So, how was your Christmas?

iceskatingOurs was fantastic! I do hope all of you can say the same. We enjoyed some great times with both of our families – including a little ice skating (which is really in no way related to Christmas, but this picture made me laugh so I had to throw it in).  That’s me praying that I don’t fall while trying to smile for the camera and that’s Matt’s sister and brother-in-law in the background.  I think Todd was trying to do something fancy while Mary remained completely focused on remaining upright. Too fun. Is it possible that my neck is sore from ice skating?

In spite of the fact that both of our families opted for low key gift exchanges this year we still got some really fun stuff (and after all, that’s what Christmas is all about.  You know I’m kidding, right? :) )

My sister gave me this hilarious onesie. Even funnier if you are familiar with my completely irrational fear of puke.

I also got my very own pair of TOMS (thanks, Mary)! Not only are these super cool shoes, but TOMS donated a pair of shoes to kids in Ethiopia for each pair purchased this Christmas – 37,000 pairs! How cool is that?!

And this, well it may just be the coolest gift I’ve ever gotten. My husband is so frugal that he really tried to convince me I didn’t need an Iphone, but in the end he surprised me with one. I don’t think I will ever be bored again. And, I can run my entire life from this itty bitty thing that fits in the palm of my hand.

And finally, this is Matt’s gift from me. It’s a diaper bag! Doesn’t look a thing like one, huh? He’s going to be the coolest dad I know.
